Gallery Chitrak organised a seven day long exhibition "Sentiments of the Masses" on serigraph featuring 15 renowned Indian and Bangladesh artists. The show is dedicated to recently deceased Indian artist Amitabha Bandyopadhyay. The exhibition will run till August 3.
On the occasion of the exhibition, Kolkata-based artist Sukhamoy Majumder has taken an initiative to publish a folio of the fifteen works of the fifteen artists.
Indian artists displaying works at the show includes Ganesh Haloi, Sunil Das, Suhas Roy, Amitabha Bandyopadhyay, Lalu Prasad Sahu, Joya Gangopadhyay, Joyoshree Chakraborty, Samir Aich, Aditya Boshak, Atin Boshak, Dilip Ranadey and Kashinath Salve. Two Bangladeshi artists, Monirul Islam and Shahabuddin Ahmed, are participating in the group show.
In the fine art printing process serigraphy, the artists have had their special images onto the paper.
Mostly the artists has expressed their medium in drawing, which depicts their sentiments, patriotism, portraits,  forms and compositions, animals and abstractness, which  have been well interpreted on prints.
The artist preferred prints in black and white, which has the essence of enigma. A piece of horse done by Sunil Das shows the vibrant spirit of mane and tail of the stallion.
The young woman's portrait by Suhas Roy creates personal disposition. An attractive, sleekly modern print with semi abstract form by Joyoshree Chakraborty has been well credited with the composition of serigraph. Monirul Islam has emphasised mostly on lines in his prints.
The dramatic motion of his work appealed to the audience. Shahabuddin's signature mark has also shown in serigraphs.
The artist also portrays force in his artwork. The horns and hooves of the bull make the force more visible.
