Update : 09 Jul 2013, 01:39 PM
Popular band Chirkutt is preparing to perform in six live concerts in Norway this September. Moreover, they will have a studio recording session with celebrated Norwegian band Casa Murilo.    Last year, the two bands gave several live performances together in Dhaka and entertained a huge number of music lovers. Moreover the bands again shared the stage together in Sri Lanka and enthralled the audience by presenting fusion of Eastern and Western music.        While talking about their upcoming tour, Chirkutt member Pinto Ghosh shared with Dhaka Tribune that the band will focus on presenting the rich folk heritage of Bangla music in Norway. “Besides performing our hit tracks, we will play different kinds of folk instruments and also some self-made instruments such as “Noroshingho”—a string instrument that creates fusion of guitar and dotara.” Pinto added that Chirkutt is also preparing some musical pieces combining Western and Eastern classical.    The band will play with Casa Murilo in studio for adding some extra features in the upcoming album of the Norwegian band.    Chirkutt has won millions of music lovers’ hearts for their extraordinary quality in creating fusion and experimenting with music of different genres from different corners of the world. In a small span of time, it has become one of the most demanding bands in the country. The line-up contains:  Shumi, in vocal and lyric, Pavel in drums and percussions, Emon Chow in lead guitar, Rokon in bass guitar, Tomal in rhythm guitar and Pinto Ghosh in violin and vocal.
