Update : 18 Jan 2016, 07:29 PM

The Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) has resumed their drive against illegal hoardings in the port city.

As per the direction of the CCC mayor, around 92 big and small unapproved billboards and signboards were pulled down in city’s Lalkhan Bazar intersection, Sholoshahar Gate area and Tigerpass area yesterday.

A total number of 237 billboards were evicted in last five-day, said CCC’s executive magistrate Nazia Shirin.

After remaining suspended the drive nearly two months, CCC, Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) and Chittagong District Administration lunched the joint drive against the illegal billboards from Thursday.

“To gear up the eviction drives, four another executive magistrates of Chittagong District Administration are working with the CCC”, added Shirin.
