The High Court has recommended that the accused should not be paraded before the media until they are produced in courts.
The HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Amir Hossain made the observation Thursday while commuting the death penalty of JMB militant Mamnur Rashid alias Jahid to life time imprisonment.
A lower court awarded death penalty to Jahid in a case filed for exploding bomb at the office of Gazipur Police Super in 2009 while the law enforcers were displaying some arrested JMB members before the media.
