The Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned the appeal hearing of condemned war criminal Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami till Tuesday.
The four-member Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice SK Sinha passed the order on Monday after hearing his appeal plea for third day.
Defense lawyer SM Shahjahan moved for the appeal petition while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam and Deputy Attorney General Ekramul Haq Tutul stood for the state.
Earlier on October 29, three-member International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 sentenced Nizami to death for committing crimes against humanity in 1971.
