The marks allocated for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will decline in the SSC and the HSC examinations from 2017, the government has decided.
Ten marks would be cut from the existing 40- or 35-mark sets of MCQ, which would then be distributed among the creative section of questions. The decision was made yesterday at a meeting, chaired by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
The meeting also decided that from the SSC and HSC exams of 2016, the students would answer the MCQ before going on to the creative section.
