Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and wished his wife Suvhra Mukherjee early recovery.
PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the state-run news agency BSS on Saturday.
"Hearing the serious sickness of Suvra Mukherjee, the Prime Minister made the phone call to the Indian President at 7.15 pm," said Karim.
The press secretary said during her about 20-minute conversation with Pranab Mukherjee, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina enquired about the physical condition of Suvra Mukherjee.
During his talks with the Prime Minister, the Indian president recalled Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Bangladesh's National Mourning Day.
He informed the prime minister that he has already read the book, "The Unfinished Memoirs of Bangabandhu" and quoted some of its significant parts.
Ihsanul Karim also said Bangabandhu's younger daughter Sheikh Rehana also talked to the Indian president and wished his wife early recovery.
