Chittagong University Teachers Association (CUTA) has made an announcement to go to observe three-hour work abstention programme in every Sunday till august 31 demanding review the 8th National proposed pay scale what it said the pay scale is discriminatory and an independent pay scale for the university’s teachers.

Professor Khasrul Alam Quddusi, general secretary of CUTA said teachers will be refrained from the classes for three-hour from 10am to 1pm from next Sunday till August 31 as per Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association Federation’s decision demanding an independent pay scale and review of the discriminatory pay scale for the university teachers.
