He’s had stranger times, but the reps of WWE are sticking to their no tolerance for racism on Terry Bollea aka Hulk Hogan. The legendary wrestler and entertainer has already gone on record to apologise for those ill-advised remarks with the “n-word”. “WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan),” the organisation said in a statement this past Friday. “WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”
Hogan went on to apologise for his actions, “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used the offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologise for having done it. This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise.”
The WWE website has also removed any and every trace of Hulk Hogan, as well as removing him as a judge on the reality show, Tough Enough. As if his current lawsuit against Gawker for a leaked sex tape wasn’t bad enough, Hogan won’t be seeing the ring anytime soon.
