Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory commission (BTRC) has cancelled licences of 30 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for not renewing their respective licences in time.
BTRC also asked the ISPs to pay their dues within the next 10 days, or else warned of tougher legal actions against them.
Legal and licensing department of the BTRC yesterday served a notice in this regard.
“If the ISPs don’t pay the pending amount within the stipulated time, the regulatory body will take legal action as per Telecommunication Act 2001,” said the notice.
