Elita’s debut solo album hits market

Although Elita’s distinctive presence has been felt for more than a decade in the country’s music scene but what the fan most missed is an entire record with her name carved on it. Her musical career started off in 2002 with a song title “Mithya,” for which she collaborated with Black on their first album Amar Prithibi. And after being in the industry for 13 years, Elita’s self-titled, debut album finally came out yesterday.

A production of Girona Bangladesh and Multi Sources Limited, the album was launched on May 24 at the Daily Star Centre. The cover was unveiled by Bappa Majumder in the presence of Mahfuz Anam, editor of the Daily Star.

Talking about the album, Elita said, “Finally my album is releasing and I am excited. Though I started working on the album back in 2009, I could not complete it since I was busy with other projects.”

“I want the audience to be honest about my album. If they like it let me know or if they have constructive feedback I would appreciate it so that I can improve,” she added.

A total of eight tracks are on the album, with a few acoustic versions.

Sondhi, Fuad, Anik Khan, Rabiul Islam Jibon and Abdar Rehman have penned lyrics for the album while Aidt, Palash, Sondhi, Shaker and Fuad composed music for the tracks.
