Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday forecasted rain likely to occur at some places over the two coastal and port divisions but mainly dry weather likely elsewhere over the country for the next 24 hours begins from Monday morning.
"Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," according to the forecast that begins 9am on Monday.
Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Southwest Bay and its adjoining area during the next 36 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move slowly nearly westwards towards Tamil Nadu/Sri Lanka coasts during subsequent two-days.
The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.5 degree Celsius at Feni and Monday's minimum temperature 17.7 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
The country's maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am on Monday was recorded at 01 millimetres (mm) at Chittagong and Ambagan respectively
Night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
