According to a government order, gazetted and non-gazetted government officials will receive their salaries on August 29, with Eid-ul-Azha expected to be celebrated on September 2.
The announcement was made through a circular issued from the Treasure and Credit Management wing under the Finance Division, and was signed by Deputy Secretary Mufizuddin Ahmed.
Furthermore, the circular stated that Eid-ul-Azha bonuses for all public servants and staff will be disbursed from August 10-15.
The total number of government employees in Bangladesh stands at 2.1 million, with most being non-gazetted officials and staff.
