Boy’s decomposed body found in Naogaon

A couple claimed the body to be their son Shakawat Hossain who had been kidnapped by miscreants seven days ago from the upazila. Twelve-year-old Shakawat was a class-VI student of Haritakidanga High School. He is son of Md Anwar Hossain, from Kokil Maulvipara in the upazila. Anwar made the claim considering the outfit and shoes found with the body, police say. Family member sources said a villager named Abu Mottaleb alias Bulbul called Shakawat out of residence on October 8 and since then he remained missing. Later, Anwar filed a murder case with Dhamoirhat police station against four people including Bulbul and his son Antar and police arrested the two. Dhamoirhat police station OC Mashiur Rahman said: “Locals spotted the body in the morning and informed us. Seeing clothes and shoes, Anwar has claimed it to be his son’s remains. “The body has been sent to the district hospital for post mortem and DNA test,” the OC also said.
