Speeding truck kills three men in Brahmanbaria

Three people died on Sunday night after being run over by a speeding truck at the district's Islabad area. The accident took place on the Brahmanbaria-Sylhet Highway at around 11pm. Identities of the victims could not be known immediately but police say they were the driver of a local bus and his assistants. Khatihata Highway police's Officer-in-Charge Md Humayun Kabir said a the driver and his assistants of Diganta Paribahan were changing a punctured tyre beside the road when a cargo truck going towards Sylhet ran them over. The three men were killed on the spot. OC Kabir said there were no passengers on the bus during the accident. The bodies have been taken to the police station. A case was being filed over the accident, the OC added.
