Bangladeshi artist wins gold prize at World Beauty Art & Design International Contest

Sayma Sadia received the award in the Makeup – General Category at an international competition held in Seoul

Bangladeshi artist Sayma Sadia won the gold prize in the Makeup – General Category at the 25th World Beauty Art & Design International Contest, held in Seoul, South Korea.

Organized by the World Beauty Art Association, the annual competition brings together beauty artists, educators, and professionals from around the world to showcase their work in makeup, beauty, and artistic design.

According to officials at the award ceremony, Sayma received the gold prize in recognition of her artistic skill, creativity, and technical expertise in the Makeup – General Category.

Sayma is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Beauty Design at Woosong University in South Korea. She said the award marked a significant milestone in her career and encouraged her to pursue higher goals in the global beauty industry.

She hopes to work with internationally recognized beauty and cosmetics brands while specializing in Special Effects (SFX) Makeup, a field widely used in film, television, fashion, and theater.

Speaking about the achievement, Sayma said: “I feel deeply honored and grateful to receive this recognition. Winning the gold prize is not just my achievement, it belongs to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey. At this moment, I especially remember my parents and my sister, whose love, encouragement, and sacrifices have helped me reach this stage. Their belief in me has always been my greatest strength.”

Her achievement reflects the growing presence of Bangladeshi talent in international beauty and design competitions and highlights the country's expanding participation in the global creative industry.
