79,100 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims return as flights conclude

A total of 216 flights brought Bangladeshi pilgrims home under government and private management

Return Hajj flights concluded on Tuesday night, with a total of 79,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia, according to the Hajj bulletin.

Of the returning pilgrims, 4,459 traveled under the government management system, while 74,641 returned under the private management system.

According to the bulletin, Biman Bangladesh Airlines transported 34,567 pilgrims, Saudi Airlines carried 25,377, and Flynas Airlines transported 11,043. Another 8,113 pilgrims returned through other airlines.

A total of 216 return flights were operated. Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 116 flights, Saudi Airlines operated 70, and Flynas Airlines operated 30.

During the Hajj period, 55 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia. Of them, 37 were men and 18 were women.
