The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on flying any kind of drones in and around Evercare Hospital in the capital.
Deputy Commissioner of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, disclosed the information on Wednesday.
He said that for public awareness, it is being informed that in the interest of maintaining public order, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, exercising the powers vested under Section 28 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No III of 1976), has prohibited the operation of all types of drones in the Evercare Hospital area and its surrounding localities from Wednesday, until further notice.
Legal action will be taken against anyone flying drones without authorization.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police has sought the cooperation of all concerned in this regard.
