Graduation ceremony of National Defence Course 2025 and Armed Forces War Course 2025 held

The graduation ceremony of the National Defence Course (NDC) 2025 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) 2025 was held on Wednesday at the Defence Services Command and Staff College complex in Mirpur Cantonment.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, attended the ceremony as the chief guest, according to a press release of from the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) on Wednesday.

In his address, the chief adviser congratulated all course members on completing their respective programs. He lauded their year-long dedication and perseverance, noting that the knowledge and experience gained would enable them to contribute effectively to national development, policy formulation, and strategic decision-making.

Professor Yunus said the National Defence College has emerged as a center of excellence in security and development studies, nurturing leaders capable of addressing complex challenges in an evolving national and global environment. He urged the graduates to use their insights to promote sustainable progress and uphold Bangladesh’s interests at home and abroad. He also congratulated allied course members, expressing hope that their participation would further strengthen cooperation between Bangladesh and their countries.

Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, commandant of NDC, expressed gratitude to the chief adviser for his presence. He said NDC, guided by its motto “Security Through Knowledge,” continues to prepare senior and mid-level officers for higher responsibilities in national security, state policy, and development. He also acknowledged the support of the Services Headquarters, ministries, academic institutions, eminent scholars, and friendly nations in conducting the courses.

The National Defence Course 2025 comprised 96 participants — 49 officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, 18 from the civil services, and 29 officers from 18 friendly countries. The Armed Forces War Course 2025 included 56 officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force.

This year’s graduation ceremony reflected NDC’s commitment to developing knowledgeable, visionary, and globally oriented leaders dedicated to strengthening national security and advancing Bangladesh’s development goals.
