A mild earthquake was felt in the capital, Dhaka, once again.
According to Rubaiyat Kabir, the acting official at the Earthquake Monitoring Centre of the Meteorological Department, the tremor was recorded at 4:15pm on Thursday.
Rubaiyat Kabir said the earthquake measured 3.6 on the Richter scale, categorizing it as a low-intensity tremor. Its epicentre was in Narsingdi.
Last Friday and the following Saturday, Dhaka and its surrounding areas experienced four earthquakes within a span of approximately 31 hours.
Among them, the 5.7-magnitude quake on Friday morning originated in Madhabdi of Narsingdi, about 25km from Dhaka. The depth of its epicentre was 10km below the surface.
Ten people were killed and more than 600 were injured in Friday’s earthquake.
