Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam, has said that inflation is declining rapidly as a result of the well-thought-out policies and strategies of the interim government.
According to data from June this year, point-to-point inflation has stood at 8.48%, which is 2 percentage points lower than that of August 2024.
He made these remarks in a post from his verified Facebook account on Monday.
The post also stated: “Food inflation has significantly dropped to 7.39%, the lowest in the past two years. Non-food inflation has also begun to decline and is expected to drop further in the near future.”
