The outgoing German Ambassador to Bangladesh Achim Tröster lauded the people of Bangladesh for their enduring dedication to democratic values, national development, their resilience and sacrifices in the pursuit of freedom and shared prosperity.
He made the remarks when paying a farewell call on the Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday, said a ministry’s press release.
During the meeting, the adviser expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Tröster’s role in strengthening the longstanding and multifaceted bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Germany.
He conveyed particular gratitude for Germany’s steadfast support to Bangladesh’s interim government and its ongoing reform initiatives.
The meeting further featured constructive exchanges on a wide range of regional and global issues of mutual concern, reaffirming both countries’ shared commitment to international peace, security and sustainable development.
Both the foreign adviser and the ambassador expressed confidence that the friendly and cooperative ties between Bangladesh and Germany would continue to deepen, diversify and flourish in the years ahead.
