Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance tickets for intercity trains to ensure a hassle-free return journey for Eid holidaymakers. On Saturday, tickets are being sold for travel on June 10.
Ticket sales for trains departing from the western region began at 8am, while sales for eastern region trains will start at 2pm.
As with previous arrangements, all tickets are being sold exclusively online to ease the process for passengers.
Advance ticket sales are being conducted under a special schedule to accommodate the post-Eid rush.
Tickets for June 9 were available on May 30. Sales for subsequent dates will follow accordingly: June 11 tickets on June 1, June 12 on June 2, June 13 on June 3, June 14 on June 4, and June 15 on June 5.
Tickets purchased during this period are non-refundable. Each passenger is allowed to buy a maximum of four tickets. For multiple ticket purchases, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided at the time of booking.
