As part of the “The World Stops for Gaza” campaign, officials and employees from various organisations staged a protest march on Monday at the Science Lab intersection in the capital, denouncing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
Carrying placards and banners with slogans like “Free Palestine” and “Stop Killing in Gaza,” the protesters marched peacefully. While the demonstration caused some temporary traffic disruptions, the situation remained under control due to the presence and efforts of law enforcement.
As of 12pm, protestors were still seen marching in the area. Each procession began at the Science Lab intersection, moved past the Bata signal, and headed towards Shahbagh.
“We’ve taken to the streets today as part of the ‘The World Stops for Gaza’ campaign,” said one protester.
“We strongly condemn the brutal attacks being carried out by Israeli occupying forces on civilians in Gaza. Their assaults on children, women, and innocent people have raised serious questions about the state of humanity. And yet, the world remains silent. Where is that humanity now? Where is morality?”
As part of the “The World Stops for Gaza” campaign, people from across the world are raising their voices today against Israeli aggression.
