The National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee has decided to impose Section 144 around SSC exam centres across the country during the upcoming Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
The decision was made during a committee meeting at the Ministry of Education, chaired by Education Adviser Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar.
The ministry issued a circular regarding this decision on Saturday.
Additionally, authorities have decided to close all coaching centres for 34 days during the examination period.
The written and theoretical SSC examinations will begin on April 10 and end on May 13.
All candidates have been instructed to enter the examination centre and take their seats at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
If a candidate arrives at the exam centre more than 30 minutes late, their name, roll number, entry time, and reason for delay must be recorded in the register.
However, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre or sit for the exam if they arrive more than 30 minutes after the exam has started.
A list of late-arriving candidates must be forwarded to the relevant education board by the centre secretary each day.
Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying any digital devices inside exam centers.
Executive magistrates will be responsible for ensuring the security of question papers.
The law enforcement agencies and district administration will take strict legal action against anyone involved in leaking question papers, providing unauthorized assistance to candidates, or violating any regulations, the circular said.
