If an incident of violence against a woman is recorded in the “Help App,” it will be immediately treated as an FIR, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.
This information was confirmed in an SMS sent by the DMP's Media and Public Relations Wing on Saturday.
Earlier, the government decided to introduce a short code service alongside the police hotline to help prevent violence against women.
