Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 39-year-old cricketer made this announcement on Wednesday through a Facebook post.
In his farewell message, he wrote: "Not everything ends perfectly, but say yes and move on. Peace... Alhamdulillah."
He had already stepped away from Test and T20I formats, and now he has bid farewell to ODIs as well. This means the all-rounder will no longer be seen on the field wearing Bangladesh’s jersey.
On Monday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) released a new list of centrally contracted players, which initially included Mahmudullah’s name.
However, he later withdrew himself from the list, leading to speculation that his international career was coming to an end.
