The new political party, the Jatiya Nagorik Party, formed by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens' Committee, has announced its 151-member committee.
On Friday at 6pm, during the party’s inauguration event at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital, the names of the top two leaders were announced by Mim Akter, the sister of Shaheed Md Ismail Hossain Rabbi. She declared the names of the party’s Convenor and Member Secretary.
"The party’s Convenor is Nahid Islam, and the Member Secretary is Akhtar Hossain."
Later, Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain announced a partial organizational structure of the party, revealing that the committee consists of a total of 151 positions.
Akhtar Hossain said that the party’s Senior Joint Convenors are Samanta Sharmin and Ariful Islam Adib. The Senior Joint Member Secretaries are Tasnim Zara and Nahida Sarwar Niva. The Chief Organizer (Southern Region) is Hasnat Abdullah, while the Chief Organizer (Northern Region) is Sarjis Alam.
Additionally, Nasiruddin Patwary holds the position of Chief Coordinator, and Abdul Hannan Masud serves as the Senior Joint Chief Coordinator. Akhtar Hossain later announced the names of the Joint Convenors, Joint Member Secretaries, and Joint Chief Organizers of the party.
The party’s Joint Convenors are Nusrat Tabassum, Monira Sharmin, Mahbub Alam, Sarwar Tushar, Advocate Mujahidul Islam Shaheen, Tujruba Jabin, Sultan Muhammad Zakaria, Dr Atik Mujahid, Ashraf Uddin Mahdi, Arpita Shyama Dev, Tanzil Mahmud, Anik Roy, Khaled Saifullah, Javed Rasim, Ehtesham Haque, and Hasan Ali.
The Joint Member Secretaries are Abdullah Al Amin, Arif Sohel, Rashidul Islam Rifat, Mahin Sarkar, Mohammad Nizam Uddin, Akram Hossain, S M Saif Mustafiz, Saleh Uddin Sifat (attached to the office), Alauddin Muhammad, Farid Uddin, Mohammad Farhad Alam Bhuiyan, Mohammad Miraj Mia, Lutfur Rahman, Mohammad Moinul Islam Tuhin, Mushfiqur Salehin, Dr Zahidul Islam, Zahirul Islam Musa, Humayra Nur, Mushfiqur Rahman Juhan, Molla Mohammad Faruq Ehsan, Shagupta Bushra Bisma, Ahnaf Saeed Khan, Abu Saeed Mohammad Sujauddin, Mir Arshadul Haque, Faisal Mahmud Shanto, Tarek Reza, Moshiur Rahman, Zainal Abedin Shishir, Mohammad Muntasir Rahman, Gazi Salauddin Tanvir, Tamim Ahmed, and Tahsin Riyaz.
The Joint Chief Coordinators are Advocate Md Tariqul Islam (Youth Wing), Dr Abdul Ahad, Dilshana Parul, Abu Hanif, Abdus Zaher, Mazharul Islam Fakir, Agriculturist Golam Mortaza Selim, Ashikin Alam, Dr Zahidul Bari, Kailash Chandra Rabidas, David Raju, Sheikh Md. Shah Moin Uddin, Marzuk Ahmed, and Saddam Hossain.
