Law enforcement agencies have taken a total of 12,231 individuals into custody since the nationwide crackdown, Operation Devil Hunt, began on February 8, following a terror attack on student demonstrators in Gazipur.
In the past 24 hours till Friday, 618 more suspects were arrested in connection with activities aimed at destabilizing the country, according to a statement from the Police Headquarters.
On the 21st day of the operation, a total of 1,414 individuals were apprehended—786 under Operation Devil Hunt and 914 on previous cases and warrants.
Authorities also reported the seizure of one LG, one cartridge, and several matches during the operation.
