Hajj flights from Bangladesh will commence on April 29 and continue until May 31, according to a ministry official.
The schedule was announced on Tuesday by Nasrin Jahan, Secretary of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry.
This year, an estimated 87,100 pilgrims from Bangladesh will perform Hajj.
Among them, Biman Bangladesh Airlines will transport 43,550 pilgrims, accounting for 50% of the total.
Saudia Airlines will carry 35%, while Flynas will handle the remaining 15%.
The airfare for each pilgrim has been set at Tk167,820, as said by the secretary during a Hajj management meeting held at the Tourism Building in Agargaon.
Discussions in the meeting focused on key aspects such as flight schedules, arrangements for Bangladeshis registered abroad, updating passenger details on the online portal, luggage management, and ensuring efficient transportation services.
To oversee the entire Hajj transportation process, the ministry has formed a task force and a monitoring committee.
The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant ministries, airlines, and Hajj agencies.
Based on the moon sighting, Hajj is expected to take place on June 5.
