The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Bangladesh has strongly protested against a report published by Indian media outlet Anandabazar (online) on Friday, titled "Defeated Pak army returns to Bangladesh after 53 Years."

In a statement issued on Saturday, ISPR described the report as misleading and baseless.

According to ISPR, the Bangladesh Army upholds the principles of professionalism, neutrality, and international cooperation.

As part of its routine activities, the Bangladesh Army maintains cordial relations with armed forces from various nations and participates in cooperative programs such as student exchanges and training to enhance mutual understanding and skills.

Contrary to the report's claims, ISPR clarified that no delegation or training team from the Pakistan Army is scheduled to visit any cantonment in Bangladesh for training. "This claim is baseless and inconsistent with reality," ISPR emphasized.

The statement further added that the Bangladesh Army procures necessary ammunition from various countries based on its operational requirements.

"Ignorant and unsolicited comments on sensitive defense matters are inappropriate and offensive," it read.

ISPR criticized Anandabazar for failing to seek any comment or clarification from them before publishing the report.

"This is a violation of proper journalistic practices and raises serious questions about the impartiality and credibility of the report," the statement read.

The ISPR reaffirmed the Bangladesh Army’s commitment to transparency and accurate information dissemination, urging the media to verify information from credible sources before publishing reports on sensitive issues.
