To make the July Revolution more meaningful, the government has directed all schools, colleges, and universities in the country to organize youth festivals, "July 36," symbolizing youth, at a convenient time.
These festivals must include documentaries on the backdrop of the July Revolution and fascist activities, along with discussions featuring anti-fascist figures.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Education's Secondary and Higher Education Division issued an official order in this regard.
The order directed the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), as well as all educational institutions, to implement the program.
The official directive said that to implement the Chief Adviser’s inspiring declaration—“Let’s change the country, let’s change the world”—a month-long Youth Festival is to be organized in coordination with the Bangladesh Premier League-2025 (BPL).
Educational institutions under the Secondary and Higher Education Division will carry out the program.
All educational institutions under DSHE must involve students in daily cleanliness activities during a designated time in classrooms and institution premises.
To make the July Revolution meaningful and promote “July 36” as a youth symbol, all institutions must organize youth festivals at convenient times. The festivals should feature documentaries on the July Revolution’s background and fascist activities, along with discussions involving anti-fascist personalities.
To nurture innovative and entrepreneurial talents among youth, educational institutions must dedicate a day each week to share stories of successful entrepreneurs from Bangladesh and other countries during a specific time in class.
To raise awareness about the ban on plastic and polythene use and environmental protection, all institutions must organize assemblies involving students and parents.
