This move underscores the government’s commitment to promoting transparency and accountability within public service

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) officials have been instructed to submit their asset declarations by November 30.

An office order issued by Rajuk Director (Administration) Momin Uddin on Friday requires all officials of grade nine and above, as well as those in grade 10 and below, to submit their statements to the chairman's office within the specified deadline, according to Rajuk sources.

This directive aligns with a broader initiative outlined by the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr Md Mokhlesur Rahman, who earlier emphasized that all government employees must submit their asset declarations annually.

Speaking at a press conference at the ministry's meeting room on September 22, he said: "Government officials and employees are required to submit their asset statements by December 31 each year. However, this year, the deadline has been set for November 30."

Dr Rahman added that declarations should be submitted to the relevant authorities in sealed envelopes.

Failure to comply, including providing inaccurate information or omitting details, could result in disciplinary action under the 1979 rules.

Punishments may range from reprimands to dismissal from service, depending on the severity of the violation.

This move underscores the government’s commitment to promoting transparency and accountability within public service.
