Job seekers protesting in front of Petrobangla demanding oral examinations have suspended their sit-in program.
After discussions with representatives of the protestors, the institution sought time until December, prompting the suspension of the program around 1:30am.
Petrobangla said that they held discussions with three representatives from the protesters.
Job seekers started their sit-in at 11am on Sunday, accusing Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited of deliberately postponing oral exams for 17 categories of employee positions under the revenue sector.
They demanded that the exams be conducted promptly and the recruitment process be completed by publishing the results.
