The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday decided to hold prayers and supplications in all mosques across Bangladesh on the next three Fridays -- November 15, 22, and 29.
The prayers will be held to seek forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs and the well-being of the injured and sick.
On these dates, special prayers and supplications will be offered after the Jummah prayers.
According to data from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, 1,423 people were killed in the violence during the student protests in July and August, and over 20,000 people were injured.
