The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced a decrease in gold prices in the country.
The new price has been set with a maximum decrease of Tk3,453 per bhori (11.66 grams).
As a result of this price drop, the cost of high-quality 22-carat gold will now be Tk138,708 per bhori, down from Tk142,161.
This information was provided in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, the chairman of Bajus’s pricing and market monitoring permanent committee.
Bajus said that the price of gold has decreased in the local market.
Considering the overall situation, the new gold prices have been fixed.
The new prices will take effect from Friday.
