The price of gold in Bangladesh has surged once again, setting a new all-time high.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced the increase in gold prices on Wednesday evening.
The new price has been set with an increase of Tk1,575 per bhori.
The price of 22-carat gold will be Tk143,526 per bhori, up from Tk141,951 on Wednesday .
The new price will be effective from Thursday.
This information was provided in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, the chairman of Bajus's pricing and monitoring committee.
Bajus noted that the price of gold has risen in the local market, and the new prices have been determined considering the overall situation.
