A low pressure area is likely to form over the Central Bay of Bengal on Tuesday, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
“Trough of low lies over North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over the central Bay of Bengal around Tuesday,” it said.
It also forecast rainfall and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at a few places over Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Chittagong divisions in 24 hours commencing 9am on Saturday.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
According to the bulletin, the country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.5 degree Celsius at Feni in Chittagong division and minimum temperature was recorded 21.5 degree Celsius at Dimla in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 115 millimeters (mm) at Jashore in Khulna division.
The sun sets at 05:29pm on Saturday and rises at 05:58am on Sunday in the capital.
