Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday predicted sporadic rain in parts of the country but the weather will remain mainly dry.
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country", it said in its 9am bulletin.
Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh except for the Chittagong region. Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from the rest part of Bangladesh during the next 24 hours.
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Southwest Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours.
Bangladesh's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 35.5°C jointly at Mongla and Khepupara while the minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded 23.2°C at Tetulia.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am on Sunday was recorded 28 millimeters (mm) in Dhaka.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
