This month, schools and colleges will be closed for 9 days in observance of Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham, Lakshmi Puja, and Probarona Purnima.
With the addition of the weekly holidays, the total break will extend to 11 days.
According to the annual calendar of the Ministry of Education, the holiday for Durga Puja will begin on Wednesday and continue until October 17.
Since the following two days are Friday and Saturday, educational institutions will reopen on October 20.
Among these holidays, October 13 is for Bijoya Dashami, October 15 is for Fateha-e-Yazdaham, and October 16 is for Lakshmi Puja and Probarona Purnima.
