The deadline for filing complaints with the “Commission of Inquiry” to investigate cases of enforced disappearances has been extended to October 10, instead of the previous September 30 deadline, according to a notification issued by the commission on Monday.

The commission mentioned that victims of enforced disappearance, their family members, relatives, or any witnesses of such incidents that occurred between January 6, 2009, and August 5, 2024, may submit complaints in person, by phone, or via email.

Complaints can be lodged in writing between 10:30am and 4pm on working days until October 10.

The commission has requested that appointments be made through the hotline before submitting a complaint during the specified period.
