Private television channel Somoy TV has resumed its regular broadcast on Monday under new management.
The broadcast resumed at 11:59pm on Monday, the channel announced through its social media handles.
Its broadcast was suspended for a week since August 19, on the back of a petition filed by the new management to take the channel off air for a week to allow them to make a new beginning - something the old management has now been pushed out was vehemently against.
The court order granting what the petition asked for was misunderstood in some quarters as an intervention by the court in the free operation of the media.
