Bashundhara City shop owners and employees blocked the road at Panthapath in Dhaka to hold a protest demanding the resignation of the market in charge and a reduction in shop rent.
The protesters had the road blocked from 11am until 2pm.
They said the market in charge has been acting like a “dictator.”
They claimed he collects excessive rent and large sums of money in the name of various charges, causing the business owners trouble.
