A total of 44 police officers of various ranks have lost their lives in connection with the quota reform movement.
This includes 21 constables, 1 naik, 7 assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs), 1 additional sub-inspector (ATSI), 11 sub-inspectors (SIs), and 3 inspectors.
Among the deceased, 24 police officers were killed on August 5, 14 on August 4, and the remaining officers were killed at various other times. Of them, 21 were unarmed.
On Sunday afternoon, AIG (Media and PR) Inamul Haque Sagar of the Police Headquarters disclosed this information.
