Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh is out of the country on “urgent work”, said an official of the city corporation on Tuesday.
The official, requesting anonymity, said that the mayor would return to the country soon.
Earlier, Taposh went to Singapore on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday.
City corporation sources confirmed that he went to Singapore alone, not accompanied by family members.
