Security has been tightened at the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi against the backdrop of Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and the formation of an interim government in Bangladesh.
Delhi Police have said that security has been increased outside the High Commission and at Indira Gandhi International Airport, reports India Today.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata Maitree Express service will be suspended on Tuesday.
The Eastern Railway authorities of India have informed that this decision has been taken based on a message sent by the Bangladeshi authorities.
The operation of the Maitree Express, which has been suspended since July 19, will remain halted until Tuesday.
