The government has decided to take a firm stance against the ongoing acts of vandalism and arson being carried out by miscreants under the guise of student protests across the country.
State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mohammad Ali Arafat, disclosed this decision following a meeting of the National Committee on Security Affairs held at Ganabhaban on Sunday.
He said: "We will ensure that the full force of the law is applied across the country. The heads of the law enforcement agencies, including the armed forces, have unanimously agreed that it is time to put an end to the activities of these miscreants."
Arafat further emphasized that there are no genuine students protesting in the streets anymore; instead, it is only terrorists who are creating instability in the country.
