The government has further relaxed a curfew in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur, and Narsingdi from 6am to 9pm for three days beginning on Sunday.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan announced the decision on Saturday night.
The minister also stated that in the remaining districts of the country, the district commissioners would determine the curfew relaxation timings locally as before.
Earlier, the minister held a meeting with the top officials of the law enforcement agencies.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Discriminatory Student Movement held demonstrations across the country on Saturday. An all-out non-cooperation movement has been called from Sunday.
