Update : 12 Jul 2024, 12:47 AM

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka to Chittagong was forced to return to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport due to passenger complaints about the Air Conditioning (AC) not working.

Flight 611 of the Dash-8 aircraft, scheduled to depart at 8:40am, did not reach its destination despite being airborne for 20 minutes.

Boshra Islam, general manager (Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines said the passengers were accommodated on another flight departing at 9:50am, which successfully landed in Chittagong.

Following the incident, the aircraft was sent to the hangar for air conditioning repairs.

As a result of this delay, multiple subsequent flights from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have experienced delays.
