Update : 20 Apr 2024, 05:34 PM

The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) has decided to reduce gold prices by Tk841 per bhori from Saturday.

According to a Bajus press release, the price cut is due to a decline in the local market value of pure gold.

According to the new pricing, the cost for one bhori (11.664 grams) of high-quality 22-carat gold is set at Tk118,796. However, the price of silver remains unchanged

On April 18, Bajus announced an increase in gold prices, raising them to Tk2,064 per bhori.

The price of gold surpassed Tk100,000 for the first time in Bangladesh in July of last year.
